2010-'11 roster and recruit class announced

Yesterday BU announced their 2011 team roster made up of 15 forwards, 8 defenseman and 3 net minders. Last season the Terriers suffered some key losses, both to graduation and the NHL. To help build the team back up the Terriers went out and added 8 fresh faces. The incoming freshman class was ranked 3rd in the nation by Red Line sports, a blog from the Wisconsin State Journal. The Class is pictured to the left, photo from goterriers.com.

The complet roster will be on the side bar as it was last season.

Incoming freshman are as listed below
#17 Matt Nieto
Parker on Nieto:"Matt is a big recruit for us, especially since he had no ties to Boston. He's a great skater who really generates offense and he'll be a big-time scorer. He'll be picked high in next year's NHL draft and we think he can be a 50-point guy for us."

#3 Charlie Coyle

Parker on Coyle: "Charlie's an NHL first-round pick with good size and great hands. He's a talented playmaker with great vision who can play either center or right wing. He's has all the attributes to make him a real good college player and give him a chance to play in the NHL."

#28 Sahir Gill

Parker on Gill: "Sahir's a very clever player who can play both center and left wing. He makes the people around him much more productive, but he can score on his own as well. It's possible that he could center an all-freshman line this year."

#27 Yasin Cisse
Parker on Cisse: "Yasin's a really physical forward with great size, but he also has good hands and can make plays and score goals from the right wing. He was held up by an injury last year, but we expect him to come right in and be an important freshman."

#13 Garret Noonan
Parker on Noonan: "Garrett's a Brian Strait, stay-at-home type of defenseman with a great sense of how to defend and how to get the puck out of the zone. He can also make some plays on the offensive side of the blue line."

#11 Patrick MacGregor
Parker on MacGregor: "Patrick gives us great size, skating ability and skill on defense. He had a great prep school career and we're really looking forward to getting him out on the ice for us and seeing what he can do."

#4 Adam Clendening
Parker on Clendening: "The best way I can describe Adam is that he's very similar to Kevin Shattenkirk. He's a real good offensive defenseman who sees the game and moves the puck well. He's a top-notch defenseman who will be a high draft pick next year."

#20 Matt Ronan

Ronan had not been on the list of recruits on the side so here is his player profile from goterriers.com:
