Woman's team ranked #1 in Hockey East by coaches

Last season the lady Terriers won their first ever Hockey East championship. In the Championship game, played in Providence, BU beat Uconn in overtime. With the win the Terrier advanced to their first ever trip to the NCAA tournament, where the lost to #1 Mercyhurst 4-1.

This season the Terriers will looked to repeat as they are ranked, in the eyes of the coaches, number one in the conference.

  1. Boston University (55 points, 6 first place votes)
  2. Boston College (49 points, 2 first place votes) 
  3. Providence (42 points)
  4. New Hampshire (35 points)
  5. Northeastern (34 points)
  6. Connecticut (31 points)
  7. Vermont (20 points)
  8. Maine (14 points) 
In Other News
Penn State made it official that they will field a D-1 hockey team starting in 2013. For their first two season they will play as an independent squad and then in 2015 will join an un known conference.
