Providence has the number one scoring offense in the conference with 32 goals in 7 games (4.57per game). That's more than half a goal better than second place Boston College.
Scouting the Friars
Sophomore defenseman Jake Walman leads the team in goals scored with 7, which is good for third best in the nation. He also has added 5 assists for 12 points in 7 games played. Seniors Mark Jankowski and Trevor Mingoia both have 10 points.
Other players to keep an eye on include Nick Saracino, Anthony Florentino and Tom Parisi.
In goal, Nick Ellis has done a pretty darn good job of replacing John Gillies, so far. In 6 appearances, he is 5-0-1 with a .920 save percentage and 2.18 goals against average.
BU Notes
- Connor LaCouvee will once again be in goal on Friday as expected.
The Last Time They Met...
We are not getting into this...
Unfortunately I will not be at either game this weekend because I have two of my own games this weekend in New Hampshire.
