Hockey Is Back

Yes, final there is a hockey game to go to! Tomorrow night BU takes on St. Francis Xavier in the lone exhibition game of the year. Expect goalie Sean Maguire and Matt O'Connor to split playing time in net In addition, the team will dress 13 forwards and 7 defenseman.

These two teams played two years ago in the fall of 2012 with SFX winning 6-4. Two years prior to that the two teams tied 2-2, both games were at Agganis. 

SFX has already played  a few game this year. Last night they defeated Aigles Bleus de Moncton 4-2 to improve to 3-1-0 on the year. Two goalies played for the X-men in that game: Drew Owsley and Morgan Clark, they combined to make 39 saves. I would expect them both to play tomorrow night. There were no stats on the players from SFX on their website.

-- Today, Garrett Noonan and Patrick MacGregor were named co Captains. Noonan wore the "A" last season, MacGergor was not a captain last year. Apparently he took some big steps over the off-seaosn and really became a leader. I guess we will see.

-- Forward Jake Moscatel will miss the game do to a sickness.

Former Terrier Alex Chiasson scored the first goal of the year for the Dallas Stars last night. Dating back to last year, Chiasson has scored 7 goals in 8 games in the NHL.
