Weekend Preview: Maine @ BU, a bear to play in Parkers mined

Once again the Terriers come in to a weekend series with the fate of their season on the line. Currently BU is in 5th (18 pts) place in the HE standings and Maine is tied in 3rd (24 pts). If BU could some how slow the Black Bears down and take four points out of his weekend they would slide nicely into a home ice position in the playoffs.

“I thought they had a chance to be fighting for home ice,” Parker said after Wednesday’s practice. “I did not think they’d have a chance to win first place.”

Let's Look At Maine (I found their weakness)
Maine is looking to move up in the standings and try to get first place. The Black Bears can do that by winning both games this weekend and having UNH lose both of it's games. Maine might sound good and yes they are the #14 team in the country and have a 14-9-3 record, but they have only won three road games all season. They are just 3-7-1 on the road, compared to at home where Maine is 9-2-1. I think the key to beating Maine is: GET THEM ON THE ROAD!!!

The Last Time They Met...
was back in October in Maine. Ya, BU was not one of the two who upended Maine at home. BU fell 3-2 in a close one.
