NU started the year off well, beating BC in one their first games, but last weekend were officially eliminated from the Hockey East Tournament after tying Maine 4-4 in a game that had to win. The Huskies are 3-10-3 in the second half, two of those wins are against BU.
Scouting The Huskies
Kevin Roy is far and away the best player on the NU roster, but has not played since the 22nd of February. In the 29 games he has played in, Roy posted 34 points, 17 goals and 17 assists. I don't know if he will be in the lineup tonight. Former Terrier Vinny Sapinari will finally play his final college hockey game this weekend. After playing two years at BU and being kicked off the team following his sophomore campaign, he spent a year in the USHL. His plan was to go to BC after the USHL year, but did not get in to school there. Last year he played as a Junior at Northeastern and this year as captain of the Huskies, he has 7 goals, 22 assists for 29 points.
In goal, we will see Chris Rawlings conclude his NU career. Rawlings has a .906 save percentage and a 3.09 goals against average to go along with a 8-12-1 record, this season.
