Here some photos from the weekend.
Offense: B-
The offense showed in Friday night's game that they could once again come back from one or two goals down. In the Boston College game the Terrier offense got ahead in the game unlike they did in the last two games. Tis time though the Terriers failed cash in and add to their lead on some grade A scoring chances. Six or more time BU missed the net when they took shots from the slot. My offensive player of the week goes to Corey Trivino. Trivino had two points over the weekend including the game tieing goal against Vermont.
Defense: C+
The defense get a C+ because the lose to Boston College was not their fault. That lose was 100% goaltender Kieran Millan's fault. BU defenders at least in the early to middle parts of the BC where doing a great job of getting into the Eagles passing lanes. This all sounds like they should have received a higher grade right? Well in the Vermont game the Terriers had their "defensive lull" which in the end cost the Terriers a valuable point in the Hockey East standings. My defensive player of the week goes to Eric Gryba who scored his first goal of the season on Friday night and on Saturday played a solid game at the blue line.
Goaltending: D-
The Terrier goaltenders are lucky to even get a D-. If not for a good effort by Grant Rollheiser to keep the Vermont game a tie, BU's goalies would have received an F. All four Boston College goals sailed over the glove of Kieran Millain. Just cause I have to, the goalie of the week goes to Grant Rollheiser for keeping the Terrier's heads above the water on Friday night.
