Tonight former Terrier standout Berandon Yip will make his NHL dubet with Colorado.
In his first season with the Terriers, Yip was named Hockey East Freshman of the year. Also in his first year (2006) he scored the game winning goal against Boston College to win the Hockey East Championship Game in overtime. Last season was Yip's best season. He scored some very cluch goals during the season inculding another Hockey East Championship game winner. This time he ended Lowells season when he found the puck in a scrum in front of the net and jammed it home.
Yip will be on the forth line of former BU stand out Joe Sacco's Collorado Avlanche. The Avs take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at 7pm.
In other news the "The X-mas Skate" for season ticket holder was moved from Sunday to saturday Jan 2nd after the Umass game. This was do to the blizzard of '09 which is on is way to the Boston area right now.
