Beaudry, Providence end BU win streek at two


PC goalie Alex Beaudry stopped 28 of 29 shots he faced in a 3-1 win.

Last night BU played one of their worst games of the season as Providene handed BU their first lose of the decade.

There was no scoring in the first but the Terriers did hit the goal post just five minutes in to the game.

In the second Providence broke out by scoring three goals. The first came on the power play, when Mark Fayne took a wrist shot that snuck through Millan's pads and into the back of the net.

The Terriers almost came even with the Fryers when Vinny Saponari took a shot that left a big rebound in front. Nick Bonino found the puck an drilled the post.

After that the Terriers ahd a five on three advantage but could not score. Parker said quote "it was horrible"

After the kill, PC forward Greg Collins found a BU turnover and skated in on Millan and beat him high glove side.

The fryers made it a 3-0 lead on another power play goal.

In the third BU stop the Beaudry shutout when Joe Pereira found Ross Gaudet open infront of the net. this was Gaudet's fourth goal of the season.

BU will look to get back on their feet tonight when the face Merrimack at home.
