BU Dominates Wisconsin

After a Wisconsin goal by Adam Rockwood just 1:22 into the game, BU took over and rolled to a 4-1 win.

They were down 1-0 after one, but controlled much of the play and outshot the Badgers 16-5. Matt Lane tied things up early in the second on a backhand goal. It was his second of the year from Doyle Somerby and Ryan Cloonan.

Brandon Fortunato gave the Terriers the lead halfway through the frame on a bar-down shot from the the top of the circle.

Fortunato had a hand in the third Terrier goal that came at 11:59 of the third period. His shot from the side of the net tipped off Chase Phelps stick and redirected into the net.

Bobo Carpenter added some insurance less than five minutes later on a rebound goal. Mike Moran and Charlie McAvoy picked up the assists.

Connor LaCouvee made 17 saves on 18 shots. BU outshot Wisconsin 40-17.

More to come Tuesday.
