Tonights game will be the first time the Terriers have been back to the almost 100 year old Matthew's Arena since a 1-1 tie last year in late February. Coming off one of the best seasons in school history the Husky's are 2-3 this season. The two wins came against unranked Colorado College (who are now ranked) and unranked Bentley. The Terriers are also 2-3 but every team the Terriers have played were against ranked teams. Some injurys cold have a big impact on tonights game. David Warsofsky could miss the game with a adductor muscle in his hip. Some others who could miss the game are Wade Megan (there death in his family) and Nick Bonino will miss the game with a dislocated right shoulder. The Terriers lead the all time series 144-50-8 with the first meeting between the two teams way back in 1931 at the US olympic tryouts. The Terriers won the game 4-3.
What happened last year
Last season the Terriers and Husky's met four times and battled for the regular season title the entire season. the Terriers one the league championship on the last day of the season with a 3-0 win over Providence College. In all four meetings last season the Terriers got the first goal of the game and the Husky's never once had a lead in any of the games. Over all the Terriers won the series 2-0-1. In my mined the best game was the Beanpot Championship game. Half way through the third the Terriers where up 3-2 on the penalty kill when David Worsofsky and Colin Wilson both scored short handed goal on the same Northeastern power play. click here for a video of the game
