Last weekend the Terrier and Wildcats split series. The Terriers split with Merrimack and New Hampshire split with Umass. As a result of last weeks series slits both UNH froward Bobby Butler and Bu forward Chris Connolly were named co Hockey East players of the week. Speaking of Connolly it is very unlikely that he will see any action over the weekend do to a shoulder injury.
The Wildcats have played two more games than the Terrier and yet still have the same amount of wins. Bu's recored is 3-6-0 and the UNH is 3-6-2. The Wildcat wins have come against Northeastern (4-2) Maine (5-2) and Umass (4-2). They have also tied Miami of Ohio and Boston College.
The Last Time They Met
The last time BU took the ice to play UNH was in the 2009 Northeast Regional final in Manchester New Hampshire. The Terriers won this game 2-1 with 14.4 seconds to go. BU was on the power play when Jason Lawrence tried to slide the puck over to Colin Wilson but the puck never made it to Wilson. UNH D-man Kevin Kapstad tried to nock the puck out of the goal moth but failed and the puck hit his hand and went in. With that win the Terriers went on to the Frozen Four where they won their 5th national championship.
